R&D Engineer for Additive Micromanufacturing of Metals

We are mastering a second-to-none technology, and we are striving to make our vision come true to stimulate novel applications at the forefront of micromanufacturing.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in fundamental research, and then take those findings and develop them into market-ready products. Your work in this role will have significant impact on the company, and real-world application. The ideal candidate for this position combines exploratory research work with establishing clear and reproducible procedures for our customers.
Your main mission is to take an exciting new technology to the next level of maturity
Prepare, execute and analyze µAM prints
Devise and conduct experiments to grow the capabilities of our µAM printing process
Develop the micromanufacturing workflow and the printing equipment further
Expand research findings and integrate them into our products
Participate in µAM projects with customers and scientists
Create technical protocols and documentation, both for our customers and for internal use
Support our customers and install systems, both remote and on-site
MSc. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, applied physics or similar
You enjoy developing new technologies and making them of practical use with a keen eye for the commercial side
Practical experience within the field of micro- and nanotechnology and aqueous solution chemistry
Practical IT experience, both in knowledge and implementation
You thrive working in an agile environment, with an accurate way of working and a hands-on mentality
You like to work in a team and independently fulfill your own goals
Very good English skills (spoken and written), German is a plus
You enjoy the versatility of a position at a small and growing company
You have the permit to work in Switzerland (e.g., EU/EFTA or residency permits in Switzerland)
